We hope you will come visit us!

Welcome Video

Our church's purpose is to Love God, Serve People, and Develop Disciple Makers. One of the first steps in this process is to help people build a relationship with God through Christ and grow in that relationship. Let me take a moment to explain why having a relationship with God is so important, and how you can begin that journey.

  • You are not an accident.

Colossians 1:16 (ESV) For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

  • We are apart from God because of sin.

Isaiah 59:2 (ESV) but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

Romans 6:23 (ESV) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • God approaches us in Jesus.

Romans 5:8 (ESV) but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

-He bridges the gap between you and God.

  • You must accept Jesus by faith.

Ephesians 2:8 (ESV) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

Romans 10:9 (ESV) because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Key Questions:

After watching the video, if the pen represents you and the cup God, where would you put yourself?

What would keep you from giving your life to Christ right now?

How To Receive Jesus as Your Savior:

  • Admit- That you are a sinner and are asking God for forgiveness.
  • Believe - That Jesus is God’s son and that he died on the cross for your sins.
  • Confess- Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, and committing your life to him.

We can begin this relationship with God by praying and inviting Christ to work in our lives. If you want to begin a relationship with God, you can do this by making this following commitment to God through prayer.

“Dear Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner, and my sins have separated me from You. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross to pay for my sins. Please forgive me and help me turn away from my sins. I commit my life to You as my Lord and Savior. Help me grow closer to you.

In the name of Jesus, Amen”

If you have made this commitment to Christ, I want to encourage you to get involved in a local church, like North End Baptist, where you can grow as a Christian.
