Senior Adult Activites
Senior Adult Lunch
Senior Adults meet the last Tuesday of every month for games, fellowship, informational speakers and, of course, food. Past speakers have included KFDM chief meterologist Greg Bostwick, Jefferson County Agri-Life Extension agents, the Parish Nurse from Baptist Hospital, Harbor Hospice, Collier Park and Calder Woods retirement centers, all sharing information important to seniors. Vital information about up-coming church events is also shared at these meetings.
Surprise Lunch
The second Thursday of each month, Senior Adults are invited to assemble at the church and go to an undisclosed location for food and fellowship.
Quilters
Each Tuesday individuals take pre quilted tops and quilt them to make beautiful works of art. A secondary ministry has developed, Prayer Quilts. Prayer Quilts are a source of comfort given to individuals who are going through extreme and often life threatening health issues..
Trips
Each year Senior Adults are given the opportunity to go on trips which give spiritual renewal and enrichment. Trips can be one day or as long as a week. One day trips have been to local museums, Moody Gardens, NASA and the Blue Bell factory. Past over night trips have been to South Carolina, Tennessee, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Florida and Missouri.
